Bio

I have been working with web-based media since 1997. I started as part of a small Internet consulting group designing websites for country music artists, and also began working as an independent designer at that time. I worked with SAIC in the Washington D.C. area from 1999 to 2009 as a web and Flash developer. I currently work as an independent web designer and developer in the Boston area.

Association on American Indian Affairs

The Association on American Indian Affairs is a small 88 year old national non-profit. We started using Doug in May of 2005 based on the personal recommendation of a friend who he had worked with professionally. Our relationship with Doug has been nothing but exceptional.

Because we are small, we don’t have an IT person. Our previous site was poorly designed, therefore we have had some problems to work out over the years. Doug has redesigned the look of our website as well as managed its maintenance, particularly repeatedly removing a bug from the main page of our website.

He has provided us guidance and assistance over the phone on a variety of website and other technical issues, and has contacted our IP providers and website hosts as necessary. He has worked with our Americorps*VISTA volunteer on setting up Dreamweaver and helped with other programmatic issues.

Doug is very responsive, efficient, timely, thorough and provides multiple options. He listens to us explain our problem in non-technical terms and can figure out what we need, and explains things so we can understand them.
