I just relaunched this site with an updated design, and updated code. The design is an evolution from what was here before. The layout is mostly the same, and the previous color scheme carried forward. I improved the legibility of the type, and switched from serving my own web fonts to Google web fonts. I brought news items back to the home page in order to keep updated content there. Some text content has been updated. I also added categorization in the work section.
I just released an installable theme for ExpressionEngine called Magnetic. The theme is suitable for a blog, or as a starting point for an online magazine. The design is clean and can be easily modified via CSS and a few image adjustments. The original Photoshop file is included to make modifications easier.
All has been quiet around here, and it’s time for an update. This fall ended up being busy with client work. I managed to redesign my site twice—once over the summer, and once again this past fall. I wouldn’t recommend such frequent design changes, but that’s how it goes.
A high-quality, customizable theme for magazines and blogs.
Roughly every six months, I update my site design. This interval seems to occur naturally rather than by plan. In the past, major updates have been driven by design, technology, and content reasons, or a combination of the three. This update was mostly driven by changes to the content.
